I go to the sites try to download, no luck. I can do it on XP I just think there is a security feature I am unclear about when it comes to downloading activex controls etc.
Thanks!

Installing Flash and Adobe
Not all XP programs are compatible with Vista, so you have to take that into consideration. Also, you need administrative privileges to install anything. So you either have to be in an administrative account or know an administrative password (if there is a password protected administrave account on the system).
Other than that, much is the same as in XP. You have to keep an eye on the Information bar for alerts about ActiveX controls. And you have to give permission to install those controls.

Actually, I think you're having the same problem I am, correct me if I'm wrong...
I can't even get to adobe.com. It looks like it's loading, and IE finds the site okay, but it gets hung up about 90% into loading the page, so it's impossible to get acrobat reader installed because I can't get to the page. I've even tried changing the URL a bit to adobe.com/reader and have no luck there. Anyone have a direct link to the reader that will work with vista?

maybe we should just post the question "does anyone have adobe running on windows vista beta 2 64bit edition and if so, how"..)

I was able to access Adobe's site, download and install both Acrobat Reader and Flash Player with x64.
I do have an alternate to Acrobat Reader, for those who either want an alternative or can not install Acrobat Reader. It is called "Foxit Reader" and was just recently featured on DLTV as a viable alternative. It seems to be faster, and it is much smaller. -- Keeping the Fun in Dysfunctional...
